Howdy. I’m an engineering leader and coach. For fourteen years I’ve built the platforms underneath consumer businesses: commerce and checkout, subscriptions and billing, marketplaces, marketing platforms, identity. I’ve grown a startup’s engineering from a single engineer into the whole function, reporting to the CEO, and built teams from zero inside orgs many times that size. And I’ve spent as long explaining that work to the executives who fund it and the teams who have to adopt it, which turns out to be half the job.
